The young sovereign’s tender stare followed in the shallow cast of her sister’s lithe silhouette, a touch of veiled fingers to the flourish of her smile quelling a bated crest of amusement. A visceral fear acquiesced a fervent affection suffusing the fathoms of her breast. Her tongue spilt an abject sigh.

Elsa’s wayward stare drew to the portrait of her father, standing astride the silhouette of her mother’s memory. Her pulse resonated amidst the chassis of her bones with a fervent pitch of silent shame. She admonished herself for the poignant awe that transcended the inheritance binding her to her sister. The young sovereign averted her gaze. Brows furrowed as she notched the bow of her pliant spine, forcing a steady ebb and flow to the tumult of her mind.

Her sister’s staggered cry pervaded the shroud of her sordid reverie.

Elsa’s stare widened with astonishment at the sight of her reckless sister struggling to maneuver the corridor donning the skates conjured at the elder sister’s chilled touch.

The ivory queen offered her sibling a slight cant of her head, a peal of laughter anointing the heady flourish of her painted mouth. “Oh, Anna.” She murmured.

“Be careful.” Elsa insisted, drawing closer to her sister as she stumbled from her chambers. “I can’t very well give you your lesson if you injure yourself.”

☃ _ ღ   Anna’s smile brightened considerably as Elsa'a laughter hit her ears, the queen’s pleasant mood causing a certain fluttering in her chest. Her sister’s happiness – something she had dreamed of every single day for years and years, was now so visible, so real.

Elsa’s elusivity had puzzled Anna for so long, posing questions she never thought she’d get the answers to. And now?Everything had changed. Now she was greeted each day with gentle expressions and careful affections, and while Elsa’d never been quite as affectionate as her younger sibling, Anna still savored each attempt she made.

                              — for someone who’d been so starved as she,
how could she deny even the smallest of gesture?

The key to Anna’s happiness truly was her sister’s,
something she’d realized the moment that door shut.

❝Oh, I’ll be fine, Elsa!❞
Anna insisted, her tone conveying just how silly she thought the queen to be. Stumbling forward, she finally closed the gap between them, grabbing hold of her sister’s chilly hands in an attempt to steady herself.

❝Now, where should we go? Outside, maybe? Or the ballroom! We could do it in there, right? You could totally make that happen!❞
